Samuel Whitney

Sam Whitney is a flameworker from Pittsburgh, PA. After initially taking a few workshops at Pittsburgh Glass Center, Sam quickly decided to attend Salem Community College to obtain a degree in scientific glass blowing. He worked for a quartz production company in Delaware before returning to Pittsburgh, where he began teaching and demonstrating at the Pittsburgh Glass Center. To continue to develop his skill, Sam has attended workshops and classes at Pittsburgh Glass Center and Penland School of Crafts, and has been a resident artist at Touchstone Center for Crafts. Sam loves to learn, and looks forward to continuing to develop his flameworking skills in any way he can.
